Adamantia Maniatakou is a graduate of the Department of Chemistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a PhD from the Department of Chemistry of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Her research and publications focused on the synthesis of metal complexes and their biomimetic activity.

For 5 years she has been a supervisor for undergraduates’ training and specialization in General Chemistry Laboratory of University of Athens. She has 8 years of work experience at Novartis as a medical representative in various therapeutic areas, which provided her with real-world skills for building and fostering beneficial peer-to-peer relationships among healthcare providers. Since 2016 she has been working in the Patient Safety department of Novartis offering her the ability to collect, manage the right information from the right sources and analyze data. Her current position is Patient Safety Specialist and since 2018 she has been a member of the Pharmacovigilance Working Group of EL.EFI.
